About Madeline

Hi! My name is Madeline and I am SUPER happy you are here! Finding a therapist (or starting therapy) can be a daunting experience, and finding the right therapist is so important! Let me tell you a little bit about my personal and professional self to try and help.

I live in Chicago with my husband and my sweet, 85lb hound dog, Finley. Our favorite thing to do together is walking the Chicago lakefront. I have a close-knit group of friends who share my love of new restaurants, shopping and random Chicago activities and events. I love expressing my creativity in many ways. Traditional art (painting and drawing being my favorite), fashion and home decor are just a few. Reading is another one of my favorite hobbies, and if you have any recommendations for a good psychological thriller, send them my way!

I am deeply passionate about my work as a therapist and approach each session with empathy, humor, and authenticity. Utilizing a trauma-informed lens, I prioritize understanding your symptoms and experiences over a strictly diagnostic approach. A large part of my practice is teaching coping skills, addressing negative self-talk and sources of shame, while emphasizing self compassion and holistic self care. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, and body image issues, offering various treatment modalities, including psychotherapy, Art Therapy, and EMDR (want to know more? Check out “Services”). I value collaboration and frequently work alongside nutritionists and psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive support. Ultimately, I believe your treatment should be tailored to your unique needs, and I look forward to discovering what that looks like for you!
